Cadabra is a computer algebra system (CAS) designed specifically for problems arising in field theory. It has extensive functionality for tensor computer algebra, tensor polynomial simplification, including multilayer symmetries, fermions and anticommutative variables, Clifford algebras and Firtz transformations, implicit coordinate dependence, multiple index types and many others. The input format is a subset of TeX. Both command line and graphical interfaces are available.

The main function of Cadabra is to calculate with numbers and decimals. It is also considered an educational gadget, and a lot of educational institutions use it for teaching mathematics students. The price of Cadabra is very high compared to other programs, but this tool provides a quality education for children.

Software is very similar to the calculator, but it also can perform some additional functions, which a calculator can not. After entering the numbers, the software will create the appropriate graphs or pictures, similar to what the cost-free software for Diagram can do. The graphical interface helps the user to learn how to work with figures, as well as teaches students the basics of calculations.
